Florida Farm Bureau Federation is intensifying its efforts to secure federal disaster relief funding for Florida farmers and ranchers who suffered significant losses from recent hurricanes and severe weather events. The organization is calling on Congress to pass a comprehensive agricultural disaster relief package without further delay.

Florida's agricultural sector sustained billions of dollars in losses from back-to-back hurricane seasons, with citrus, vegetable, and livestock operations among the hardest hit. Many farm families are still struggling to recover and need federal assistance to replant crops, repair infrastructure, and restore their operations.

"Florida farmers cannot wait any longer," said Florida Farm Bureau President Jeb Smith. "Congress must act now to provide the disaster relief that our farm families desperately need. Every day of delay means more farms that may not survive."

Florida Farm Bureau is urging members to contact their congressional representatives and demand action on agricultural disaster relief. The organization has been meeting with members of Florida's congressional delegation in Washington, D.C., and is coordinating with the American Farm Bureau Federation on a national advocacy campaign.
